Consisting of 30 notes, this $5 set presents a much tougher challenge to the collector than the No Stars set. Not only are some of the regular issue varieties difficult to find in uncirculated condition, many of the stars are considered rarities for this denomination. Most difficult to locate in high grade — not to mention any grade — are the 1934B and 1934C mule stars, the 1934C narrow star, and the 1953B star. The 1934B is another scarce star to locate in high grade, as are the 1934D narrow and wide II stars.
