2010 Award's Dinner- HUGE Success!
PCGS Currency celebrated its third annual Set Registry Award's dinner at the Blues City Café in Memphis in conjunction with the International Paper Money Show. Unlike past years when the event was combined with the PCGS Coin Set Registry Award's dinner, this event was a stand-alone success. More than 50 attendees, including dealers, collectors, Set Registry participants, and award winners enjoyed the catered event which featured standard Memphis fare such as barbecue, catfish, and ribs in a casual yet festive atmosphere. What an Amazing Award's Dinner!
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the 2010 PCGS Currency Set Registry Award's Dinner held this year in Memphis. We all had an absolute blast! The food was some of the best bar-b-que Memphis had to offer and the dinner proved to be quite entertaining. Pictures as well as the video created especially for the Award's dinner will be posted by the end of the week.

PCGS Currency Introduced Several New Silver Certificate Block Sets this Week!
Collectors may now compete in 1935A $1 Silver Certificate Block Sets with and without varieties. The basic block set includes 69 different notes, and encompasses all the different serial number blocks printed for the 1935A $1 Silver Certificate series. The “with Varities” set includes more than 90 different notes, and also includes Experimental issues and Mules. These two new Silver Certificate block sets are advanced sets for ambitious collectors, but neither set is impossible. There are some rarities included in both sets, however a nearly complete collection can be assembled without great expense or difficulty.
Also joining the family of block sets this week were the 1935B $1 Silver Certificate Block Set CD - *A and the 1935C $1 Silver Certificate Block Set KD - *B.
We will continue to add new sets and expend current sets as time permits. Eventually, the Small Size Block Sets with include all of the different blocks for all of the different small size issues 1928 to date. A complete collection would obviously be of epic proportions, however the PCGS Currency Set Registry is designed to break down the many different series, denominations and issues into manageable collections that most collectors can endeavor to obtain.

New Sets are Online!
It has been a very busy month for the PCGS Currency Set Registry! We have been working to answer the many requests from collectors for specific Sets in the PCGS Currency Set Registry. PCGS Currency introduced today two new Federal Reserve Bank Note sets to the PCGS Currency Set Registry. Collectors can now enter notes from their collection to compete in sets that include all combined FRBN denominations, not just for individual denomination sets. These sets, which include 49 notes and 97 notes respectively, represent complete collections of Federal Reserve Bank Notes, which were issued in Small Size only for the series of 1929. These two sets represent the pinnacle for Small Size FRBN collectors, especially the “with Stars” set—which includes all of the great Star Note rarities from this ephemeral series.
Another addition to the PCGS Currency Set Registry was a special request by one of our most active participants.

New sets will be gradually introduced beginning with Small Size Silver Certificates, and following with sets of Small Size Legal Tenders and Federal Reserve Notes. Large Size note block sets will eventually be included for popularly collected series as well.

Registry Software Updated Today
These are a few of the great new features we have included in Version 2.1:
Help boxes - Now throughout the pages in My Set Registry, you will see a question mark. If you click it, it will open and give you brief instructions about how to perform certain functions within that area of My Set Registry.
Detailed User Guide - If you click on the HELP link on the navigation bar, you will find a link to a detailed User Guide in PDF format. This user guide is printable and has an excellent search feature.
Mass Deletions - You will be able to delete inventory in the same way you add inventory. NOTE: If you have sold a set that is at least 90% complete and you want it to remain in the All Time Finest category, you should delete the set rather than delete the inventory items. This will keep your set completion factor intact. Follow the instructions for Delete a Set in My Sets. If you have items that are in more than one set, then retire all of your sets in My Sets without deleting your inventory. Then you can use Mass Inventory Deletion to remove the items from your inventory.
Link to Collectors Corner - Collectors Corner, a Collectors Universe company, is a marketplace for coins, currency and trading cards. When you are in a set in My Sets, if an item that is being listed in Collectors Corner is available to fill a slot or upgrade an item in your set, there will be a link in the Action column. Clicking this link will take you directly to Collectors Corner where you can purchase the item from an authorized dealer. In My Preferences, you can elect to receive daily, weekly, or no emails at all from Collectors Corner whenever new items are listed which would upgrade your sets.
